President Scholarship
Award Amount
º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ selects up to five full-tuition President’s Scholarship recipients annually. The scholarship is available a maximum of eight consecutive semesters for scholars in good standing.
Recipients receive automatic entry into the NU Honors Program. The Honors Program provides an interdisciplinary space for the development of students specifically gifted in the academic arena. By facilitating close relationships with our exceptional faculty, the Honors Program empowers these students as scholars, servants, and citizens, holding them to high standards within both the classroom and the community.

Eligibility
President’s scholars are selected through the invitational President’s Scholarship Event, an on-campus, two-day event held each spring. In addition to the standard º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ application, the supplemental NU Honors application and essay prompt are also required before the January 15 deadline to be considered for this event. Scholarship competition invitations are sent on February 1. The number of admitted students invited to the competition may be limited through increased academic selectivity.
Invitation Criteria
Invitations to the President’s Scholarship Event are limited to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. Students are considered based on their overall academic record, including high school GPA and the rigor of coursework completed.
Standardized test scores are optional. Students who submit SAT, ACT, or CLT scores may have those scores considered as an additional measure of academic achievement. Students who do not submit test scores will still receive full consideration for an invitation to the President’s Scholarship Event.
A high school GPA of 3.5 or higher is required for consideration. Invitations are competitive and based on the strength of each student’s academic record.

Renewal
Must be enrolled for full-time study, maintain a 3.30 cumulative GPA at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ (renewable with a 3.00 for the first semester only), and reside on-campus.
