The mission of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ is to carry the call of God through spiritual vitality, academic excellence, and empowered engagement to meet the needs of the community.
During the global pandemic, º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ sought ways to identify and define the needs of the community here in the Pacific º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ and across the nation. Healthcare has always been in the forefront of their ongoing vision for service to the community.
As a result of this vision, I am here to officially announce the launch of the School of PA Medicine program here at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½.
We are currently in the building stage of this program and have contacted our national accrediting body, ARC-PA, to obtain provisional accreditation. We are anticipating matriculating our first cohort in the Fall of 2024, pending formal approval of accreditation by the ARC-PA.
It is our goal to build a top-rated PA program that will become a sought-after institution for all future students considering a career as a physician assistant.
Construction plans have also started. º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ has committed to build a state-of-the-art dedicated area for the School of PA Medicine that will include:
• A cadaver anatomy lab
• Expanded classrooms
• A new procedure lab
• Exam rooms essential to PA education
We are so excited about the physician assistant program at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. This is a unique opportunity to be in a program that cultivates not only medical excellence, but also hopes to raise up a generation of healthcare providers with a heart to serve patients as the hands and feet of Jesus and be a light in the medical community.
Students will be trained in:
• Clinical anatomy
• Clinical medicine
• Advanced pharmacology
• Pathophysiology
But they will also learn faith integration, so that they can serve people ethically, responsibly, and with integrity.
Healthcare systems have been really strained in the last few years, and we are excited to provide this unique training environment to graduate physician assistants who have developed not only as valued healthcare team members, but also as people of faith who provide the caring and compassion that is so vitally needed in today’s world.
We will start accepting applications for admission in April of 2023.
If you are interested in applying to be part of our first cohort, I would encourage you to visit our website for the latest information and updates.
We are excited to see God’s plan not only for the healthcare needs in the Pacific º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½ and surrounding communities, but we are also very excited to see God’s plan for the future of º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½.
