Chapel Media Technician (Part Time)

Position Summary

The Chapel Media Technician is an essential member of campus ministry team at º¬Ð߲ݴ«Ã½. Primary responsibilities include facilitation of the entire audio/visual operations during chapel gatherings. This position is a part-time (.50 FTE) role that serves primarily during the school year (August – May).   

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Lead staff AV Technician for all chapel gatherings, including Monday evening The Way. Help NU deliver excellent, professional, seamless chapel programs.
  • Train, schedule, and support all student workers and volunteers.
  • Support NU Worship with necessary AV support for required sound checks and select practices.
  • Serve as main contact for all events hosted in Butterfield Chapel. Provide each group with hospitality, timely communication, and necessary AV support.
  • Partner with Campus Ministries and NU Worship teams for all event planning and come prepared to each chapel gathering or event.
  • Provide upkeep and repair for chapel media equipment and infrastructure.
  • Implement all equipment updates on a regular basis.
  • Provide technical expertise to Campus Ministries on all equipment needs, including prioritization of upgrades, lifespan analysis, cost estimates, and strategic assessment of inventory.
  • Collaborate with Creatio Center of Technology, Media, & Design on matters of student training, best practices, and equipment management.
  • Hours may vary based on event schedule, though they are typically Monday through Friday, and will include some weekend and evenings.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned by Discipleship Pastor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in AV technology or equivalent experience in industry.
  • Dante Level 1 Certification (or willingness to obtain immediately after hire)
  • Proficient in Pro Tools, Pro Presenter and ATEM software
  • Proficient in Yamaha Sound Boards and Black Magic Cameras
  • Proficient in soldering

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Dante Level 2-3 Certification
  • Experience with SSL Sound Boards
  • Experience with SMAART Software

Compensation

Based on education and experience, the position has a hiring range of $20.00/hour to $21.00/hour.
